Meet the photographer

First a little something about me...

Hello! Let me formally introduce you to the person behind the lens - I’m Michelle, the photographer and founder of Images by Michelle.

My journey with photography began at just 16 when I started working in a photography studio until around 14 years ago when I realised my dream and opened my own studio and it has been an incredible adventure ever since.

I’ve studied photography extensively and have been fortunate to win awards for my work, which I’m truly proud of. Along the way I also became a registered nurse, giving me a greater understanding of empathy and the difficulties people can face behind the scenes that no one can see.

Family photography is especially close to my heart. I absolutely adore working with children and capturing the wonder and magic of childhood before it slips away. This passion was ignited when my oldest son was born. Watching him grow and change so quickly made me realize the irreplaceable value of photos. Since then, I’ve had two more wonderful children who are the light of my life.

In addition to my love for photography, I enjoy beach walks, reading (though finding time for this is a challenge with three kids!), and sneaking in quality moments with my amazing and supportive partner whenever I can.

I believe life is made up of precious moments, and capturing these through photography is the best way to preserve them forever. After all, a picture tells a thousand words!

Welcome to our studio, located in the heart of an historic fire station just 7kms from Adelaide. Our expansive space features over 20 unique set designs that are constantly evolving, ensuring endless possibilities for creating a session that perfectly suits your family.

We take pride in our dedicated double-height room, filled with an extensive range of props to add a touch of magic to your photos. Our client closet is brimming with beautiful designer gowns from some of the best children's couture fashion designers, available for use at every session.

As a boutique, family-run studio, we offer a full studio experience with a personal touch. Unlike many large studios, we maintain a small team and lower overheads, allowing us to keep our packages affordable while providing you with the best service possible. We believe in creating a warm, welcoming environment where every detail is tailored to you and your loved ones.
